Program Outline

This unit specifies the outcomes required to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at the Intermediate level which includes use and operation of Cantilevered crane-loading platforms, Cantilevered and spurred scaffolds, Barrow ramps and sloping platforms, perimeter safety screens and shutters Mast climbers, and tube and coupler scaffolds (including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries) for licensing purposes.

Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement. HPOTS can assist you with is.

Prerequisite – A person undertaking this unit must hold a current National High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to perform scaffolding at a basic level CPCCLSF2001.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Plan operations.
  • Select and inspect plant and equipment.
  • Set up the task.
  • Erect scaffold and scaffold equipment.
  • Dismantle scaffold and scaffold equipment.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment CPCCLSF3001.

Undertaking the HRW Safework Assessment at the completion of your training.

Participants must now apply to undertake the HRW assessment via their Service NSW App. HPOTS will assist you with this on day 1 of your training.

**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $1,900 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.

The Safework NSW HRW Licence Application Fee of $90.00 is the responsibility of the student and this is payable at an approved Service NSW Centre either in person or on-line.

Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and scaffolding activities.

Day 2 – Practical scaffolding activities. Theory, calculations and scaffolding activities.

Day 3 – Practical scaffolding activities. Theory, calculations and scaffolding activities.

Day 4 – Practical Training, theory review, and Unit of Competency Summative Assessment.

Day 5 - HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a SafeWork NSW Accredited Assessor.
