A Verification of Competency (VOC) is a method of assessment that assists employers to meet WHS requirements and verify that staff are currently competent to operate equipment or perform a task in the Resource and Infrastructure Industry.

To undertake a VOC, participants must provide their relevant licence or Statement of Attainment prior to VOCs being conducted. This, along with a professional conversation with the assessor will give HPOTS a guide to what level of competence the participant should hold.

Assessments can take place on the job or at HPOTS Cessnock Training Campus.

All assessments include knowledge testing and demonstration of skills.
