This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the advanced level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic and intermediate levels, and also includes rigging of gin poles and shear legs, flying foxes and cable ways, guyed derricks and structures, and suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds for licensing purposes.
Program Outline
This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the advanced level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic and intermediate levels, and also includes rigging of gin poles and shear legs, flying foxes and cable ways, guyed derricks and structures, and suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds for licensing purposes.
Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Prerequisite – A person undertaking this unit must hold a current National High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to perform rigging at an intermediate level CPCCLRG3002.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:
- Plan operations.
- Select and inspect equipment.
- Prepare site and equipment.
- Erect structures and plant.
- Dismantle structures and plant.
Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment CPCCLRG4001.
Undertaking the HRW Safework Assessment at the completion of your training.
Participants must now apply to undertake the HRW assessment via their Service NSW App. HPOTS will assist you with this on day 1 of your training.
**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.

Fees and Charges
The program fee is $1,600 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
The SafeWork NSW HRW Licence Application Fee of $90.00 is the responsibility of the student and this is payable at an approved Service NSW Centre either in person or on-line.

4 Day Program. 7.30am – 3.30pm daily.
Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and rigging activities.
Day 2 – Practical rigging activities theory and calculations
Day 3 – Practical Training, theory review, and Unit of Competency Summative Assessment.
Day 4 – HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a SafeWork NSW Accredited Assessor.
