Program Outline

This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform rigging work at the intermediate level, which includes all the outcomes for rigging work at the basic level, and also includes rigging of cranes, rigging of conveyors, rigging of dredges and excavators, rigging associated with tilt slabs, rigging associated with demolition work, and dual lifts for licensing purposes.

Prerequisite – A person undertaking this unit must hold a current National High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to perform rigging at a basic level CPCCLRG3001A.

100 points of ID – Participants must provide 100 points of identification to undertake the HRW assessment. A guide for the 100 points can be downloaded from our website. More information is available on our policies page

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Plan operations.
  • Select and inspect equipment.
  • Set up the task.
  • Erect structures and plant.
  • Dismantle structures and plant.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment CPCCLRG3002A and if successful in the HRW assessment will be able to apply for a HRW Licence through SafeWork NSW.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $1,400 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.

SafeWork NSW HRW Licence Application Fee: $75.00 payable at an approved Post Office.

Schedule

4 Day Program. 7.30am – 3.30pm daily.

Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and rigging activities.

Day 2 – Practical rigging activities theory and calculations.

Day 3 – Practical Training, theory review, and Unit of Competency Summative Assessment.

Day 4 – HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a SafeWork NSW Accredited Assessor.
