Rigging Basic

Program Outline

This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform basic rigging work associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists (including mast climbing hoists), placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes.

Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Prerequisite – A person undertaking this unit must hold a current National High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to perform dogging CPCCLDG3001.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

• Plan operations.
• Select and inspect equipment.
• Set up the task.
• Erect structures and plant.
• Dismantle structures and plant.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment CPCCLRG3001.

Undertaking the HRW Safework Assessment at the completion of your training.

Participants must now apply to undertake the HRW assessment via their Service NSW App. HPOTS will assist you with this on day 1 of your training.

**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $1,400 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.

The SafeWork NSW HRW Licence Application Fee of $90.00 is the responsibility of the student and this is payable at an approved Service NSW Centre either in person or on-line.
