This training provides the learner with the skills and knowledge required for individuals working in the Resource Sector who are required to undertake the role and perform the duties of a mine supervisor.

The S1 S2 S3 competencies allow a person to have authority to supervise workers on a mine site.

This nationally recognised training requires learners to complete the following 3 units of competency to achieve a Statement of Attainment:

  • RIIRIS301D Apply Risk Management Process
  • RIIWHS301D Conduct Safety and Health Investigations
  • RIICOM301D Communicate Information

Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Apply risk management to various workplace case scenarios
  • Conduct a health and safety investigation from a pre-determined incident in the workplace
  • Develop a meeting schedule to enable positive communication to all workers in the workplace

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment Skills Set in RIIRIS301D, RIIWHS301D, RIICOM301D.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $900 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
