Mine Site Safety Supervisor G1, G8, G9 & G2 Program Outline

( formally known as S1, S2, S3, G2)

This training provides the learner with the skills and knowledge required for individuals working in the Resource Sector who are required to undertake the role and perform the duties of a mine supervisor. The G1, G8, G9 & G2 competencies allow a person to have authority to supervise workers on a mine site.

This nationally recognised training requires learners to complete the following 4 units of competency to achieve a Mine Site Safety Supervisor Statement of Attainment:

• RIIRIS301E Apply Risk Management Process
• RIIWHS301E Conduct Safety and Health Investigations
• RIICOM301E Communicate Information
• RIIRIS402E Carry out the Risk Management Process

Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program.

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of the Mining Supervisor G1, G8, G9 & G2 course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

• Apply risk management to various workplace case scenarios
• Conduct a health and safety investigation from a pre-determined incident in the workplace
• Develop a meeting schedule to enable positive communication to all workers in the workplace
• Plan and prepare for the implementation of the risk management process
• Identify hazards in the workplace/assess risks
• Identify unacceptable risks/identify and implement risk control measures
• Review the implementation of actions/audit the risk management process
• Complete records and reports

Upon successful completion of the Mine Supervisor Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment Skills Set in RIIRIS301E, RIIWHS301E, RIICOM301E, RIIRIS402E.

Mining Supervisor Course Fees and Charges:

The G1, G8, G9 & G2 training program fee is $1,350 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
