The Confined Spaces Refresher Program is suitable for people who have obtained their training in Confined Spaces (2 Day Program / 7 Units) and have been requested to do a refresher program to ensure their skills are current. This training will provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to work in a confined space, conduct a hazard analysis and local risk control, issue and work with work permits, observe permit work, recognise possible gas atmospheres.

Program Outline

The Confined Spaces Refresher Program is suitable for people who have obtained their training in Confined Spaces (2 Day Program / 7 Units) and have been requested to do a refresher program to ensure their skills are current. This training will provide the learner with the skills and knowledge to work in a confined space, conduct a hazard analysis and local risk control, issue and work with work permits, observe permit work, recognise possible gas atmospheres.

Prerequisite – Persons wishing to undertake this program must hold the 7 units of competency and show evidence of this prior to undertaking the refresher.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Plan and prepare for working in a confined space.
  • Emergency response procedures.
  • Working in a confined space safely.
  • Communication techniques.
  • Complete an entry permit.
  • Exited a confined space correctly and safely.
  • Close down and clean area.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment RIIWHS202D.

HPOTS Training Campus, Cessnock.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $200 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
