Scaffolding Safety Awareness for Site Supervisors
This Program has been developed for Site Supervisors, to enable them to visually check a scaffolding system erected on their site to make certain it is safe.
Program Outline
This program has been developed for Site Supervisors, to enable them to visually check a scaffolding system on their site to make certain it is safe for use.
Supervisors on work sites, are often directly or indirectly responsible for the safety of all persons on that site.Undertaking any tasks above the ground can put workers at risk due to the fall hazards. Once an individual is more than two metres off the ground, their chances of serious injury or even death are significantly increased. Properly installed and maintained scaffolding will help minimise the risk of falling, but incorrectly erected scaffolding can potentially break down and cause significant injury.
This training provides the learner with the skills and knowledge necessary to adequately check that a constructed scaffold has been erected correctly.
