This program will provide the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevated work platform under and above 11 metres in height.   An elevated work platform which does not reach over 11 meters and a boom-type elevated work platform where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Boom type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.

Program Outline

This program will provide the skills and knowledge required to operate an elevated work platform both “under and above”  11 metres in height.   An elevated work platform which does not reach over 11 meters and a boom-type elevated work platform where the length of the boom is 11 metres or more in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Boom type elevating work platform means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.

A person performing  work over 11 metres is required to hold a boom-type elevating work platform High-Risk Work Licence.

Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Types of Elevating Work Platforms
  • Plan operations.
  • Conduct routine checks.
  • Set up the elevating work platform.
  • Operate the elevating work platform.
  • Shut down and secure the elevating work platform.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive 2 nationally recognised Statements of Attainments RIIHAN301E and TLILIC0005.

Undertaking the HRW Safework Assessment at the completion of your training.

Participants must now apply to undertake the HRW assessment via their Service NSW App. HPOTS will assist you with this on day 1 of your training.

**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $780 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.

The SafeWork NSW HRW Licence Application Fee of $90.00 is the responsibility of the student and this is payable at an approved Service NSW Centre either in person or on-line.

Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and EWP Operational Activities.

Day 2 – Practical Training, theory review, and Unit of Competency Summative Assessment.

Day 3 – HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a Safework NSW Accredited Assessor.
