Program Outline

This program will provide the skills and knowledge required to perform slinging techniques, including the selection and inspection of lifting gear and/or directing of a crane operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of view of the crane/operator for licensing purposes.
A person performing this work is required to hold a dogging High Risk Work Licence.

Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement. HPOTS can assist you with is.

Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Plan operations.
  • Conduct routine checks.
  • Traffic management plan implementation.
  • Select and inspect equipment.
  • Prepare and perform tasks.
  • Shut down and clean area.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment CPCCLDG3001.

Undertaking the HRW Safework Assessment at the completion of your training.

Participants must now apply to undertake the HRW assessment via their Service NSW App. HPOTS will assist you with this on day 1 of your training.

**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $1250 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.

The Safework NSW HRW Licence Application Fee of $90.00 is the responsibility of the student and this is payable at an approved Service NSW Centre either in person or on-line.

5 Day Program. 7.30am – 3.30pm daily.

Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and dogging Activities.

Day 2 – Practical dogging practice activities.

Day 3 – Theory, calculations and practical dogging activities.

Day 4 – Practical Training, theory review, and Unit of Competency Summative Assessment.

Day 5 – HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a SafeWork NSW Accredited Assessor.
