Program Outline
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a four wheel drive vehicle in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. This unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory and technical specialist roles.
Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program, however participants need to hold a current Class C Drivers Licence
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:
- Identify four-wheel drive specific terms, terminology and techniques
- Plan for minimal environmental impact
- Perform pre-departure checks
- Use four-wheel drive mode
- Select routes to minimise damage to the environment
- Coordinate and recover a vehicle
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on four-wheel drive vehicles
Note: Participants must supply their own 4wd vehicle
Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment RIIVEH305F.
**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.
Location
HPOTS Training Campus, Cessnock.
Fees and Charges
The program fee is $700 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
