C6 Training in 2026

Hunter Plant Operator Training School C6 Programs move to a new level in 2026.

“Our NEW C6 High Risk Work Program will give our students both Slewing and Non-Slewing crane seat time. A large proportion of our C6 applicants do the training so they can go back to work and operate a non-slewing crane OR a slewing crane.  Here at HPOTS we’ve decided to improve our C6 training by including a practical section on safe operation of a Non-Slewing Crane to prepare new operators for the reality of driving a Franna. The C6 training program remains the same and is aimed at the C6 High-Risk Work Licence.  We will utilise a student’s “C6 operation wait time” by offering Franna Familiarisation during the program.

The Franna element involves a separate trainer; all students are shown the layout of the crane, operating techniques, unique hazards, safety procedures and all the basic operating skills to suit the machine.

HPOTS is committed to making 2026 another great year for all our students and their employers.
