Work Safely in a Confined Space & Gas Test Atmosphere

Program Outline

This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces and to test the working atmosphere, using electronic test apparatus, to find out if it is safe for the proposed work.

Prerequisite – There are no prerequisites for this program.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

• Plan and prepare for working in a confined space
• Emergency response procedures
• Prepare for gas testing / test gas
• Working in a confined space safely
• Communication techniques
• Complete an entry permit
• Exited a confined space correctly and safely
• Maintain equipment, close down and clean area.

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment RIIWHS202E and MSMWHS217

**A Wallet Card including the Statement of Attainment and VOC (Verification of Competency) will be also issued to each participant at the completion of this program.

HPOTS Training Campus, Cessnock.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $350 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
