Program Outline

This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to carry out risk management processes in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries. This unit it appropriate for those working in supervisory roles and those looking to progress their mining/quarry career. The risk management process is of utmost importance on all mine/quarry sites.

This interactive program is delivered by our industry expert trainers over 1 day with assessment material completed post-training delivery.

Prerequisite – There are no prerequisites for this program.

100 points of ID – Participants must provide 100 points of identification to undertake the HRW assessment. A guide for the 100 points can be downloaded from our website.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Plan and prepare for the implementation of the risk management process
  • Identify hazards in the workplace/assess risks
  • Identify unacceptable risks/identify and implement risk control measures
  • Review the implementation of actions/audit the risk management process
  • Complete records and reports

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in RIIRIS402D.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $450 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
