Licence to erect, alter and dismantle Scaffolding – Basic Level and Work Safely at Heights
This program will provide the skills and knowledge required to perform basic scaffolding work for licensing purposes. Skills and knowledge in working Safely at Heights is also included.
This program will provide the skills and knowledge required to perform basic scaffolding work associated with erecting, altering and dismantling scaffolding using modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered material hoists, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets, static lines and bracket scaffolds for licensing purposes. Skills and knowledge in working Safely at Heights is also included.
A person performing this work is required to hold a Basic Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence.
Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program.
100 points of ID
Participants must provide 100 points of identification to undertake the HRW assessment. A guide for the 100 points can be downloaded from our website.
On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:
- Plan operations.
- Select and inspect equipment
- Work safely and confidently work at heights using harnesses
- Erect scaffold and scaffold equipment
- Dismantle scaffold and scaffold equipment
Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainment CPCCLSF2001A and RIIWHS204D and if successful in the HRW assessment will be able to apply for a HRW Licence through SafeWork NSW.

Fees and Charges
The program fee is $1,700 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
Safework NSW HRW Licence Application Fee: $75.00 payable at an approved Post Office

5 Day Program. 7.30am – 3.30pm daily
Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and scaffolding activities including working safely at heights
Day 2 – Practical scaffolding activities. Safe working at heights exercises
Day 3 – Theory, calculations and scaffolding activities.
Day 4 – Practical training, theory review and unit of competency Summative Assessment
Day 5 – HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a SafeWork NSW Accredited Assessor.
