This program has been developed to assist jobseekers to kick start their career in the construction industry.
This program will

  • Provide the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck High Risk Work Licence.
  • Provide the skills and knowledge required to work safety at heights in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.
  • Provide the skills and knowledge required to gain personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.

Prerequisites – There are no prerequisites for this program. However, the Forklift Program requires a learner to be 18 years of age to gain their High-Risk Work Ticket.

100 points of ID

Participants must provide 100 points of identification to undertake the HRW assessment and White Card training. A guide for the 100 points can be downloaded from our website.

Duration

5 Day Program. 7.30am – 3.30pm daily.
Day 1 – Presentation, discussion and Forklift Operational Activities.
Day 2 – Practical Training, theory review, and Unit of Competency Summative Assessment.
Day 3 – HRW Licence Assessment conducted by a Safework NSW Accredited Assessor.
Day 4 – Presentation, practical exercises, and Competency Summative Assessment for White Card.
Day 5 – Presentation, practical exercises, and Competency Summative Assessment for Working at Heights.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, Participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:

  • Operate the Forklift Truck
  • Work Safely in the Construction Industry
  • Work Safely at Heights

Upon successful completion of the Training Program, Participants will receive the nationally recognised Statement of Attainments

  • TLILIC0003 and if successful in the HRW assessment will be able to apply for a HRW Forklift Licence through Safework NSW.
  • CPCCWHS1001 Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
  • RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights.

HPOTS Training Campus, Cessnock.

Fees and Charges

The program fee is $800 per person. This fee includes Training and Assessment and Program material costs.
Safework NSW HRW Licence Application Fee: $75.00 payable at an approved Post Office.
