A) In NSW you must be at least 18 yo before you can operate earthmoving equipment. The controller of the machine must satisfy him or herself that you are competent to operate the machine to carry out the tasks required without risk to your health and safety and that of others.
A) Plant training, when compared to other types of training, has additional costs associated with it. The cost of maintaining and running expensive machines is included in your training fee. In addition we keep the numbers of people on each course small. We do this to provide you more ‘seat time’ so that you can develop your machine control and operator skills to a higher degree. You might be interested in gaining a ‘ticket’ but employers hire operators. So yes, while some of our courses might appear expensive, you get what you pay for.
A) We forward materials to allow you the opportunity to study the theory section. If you study this material you can;
- improve your chances of gaining your license first try,
- reduce your classroom time,
- increase your ‘seat time’ on the machines.
A) Yes, our fees include the cost of all books and materials and your WorkCover assessment. In some cases you may need to lodge your application at an Australia Post outlet. Australia Post charges a fee for this service (currently $70approx).
