Working at Heights Courses

It's estimated that about 1260 workers get injuries annually due to falling from heights and the heights are usually only about five meters above the ground. To avoid this you can take working at heights courses!

There are certain aspects of working at heights that you need to get abreast of if you want to avoid accidents. Common accidents aren't only related to people falling from heights but equipment and tools falling can be deadly projectiles to those working below. This particularly applies to those working on construction sites. That's why HPOTS Training incorporates skills in the protection of workers from freefalls and the management of tools and equipment used at heights into their courses. HPOTS also incorporates specific assessment of risks involved in height work and in the application of control measures required by OH&S legislation.

A HPOTS Training working at heights program will also include hands on experience with common access equipment, fall prevention and fall arrest systems, inspection, fitting and proper use of safety harnesses, anchor points and anchoring systems and restraint methods.

Successful completion of the program will allow you to be issued with the Work Safely at Heights Statement of Attainment (RIIOHS204A Work Safely at Heights ).
